Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Manager of HVAC Systems and is located on JWCC’s main campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

This position maintains the highest of quality floor care including offices, classrooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public and private areas of the school.  Power equipment and hand tools to complete floor care include: buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high and low speed buffers, wet and dry vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, and furniture.  Duties include routine inspection and light maintenance on all floor machines and other assigned equipment, assist with special event set-ups and general custodial functions as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis, and other required duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.   Hours are a flexible third shift, Sunday through Thursday.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of floor care experience is required. Must be able to lift as needed and have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Duties require the ability to work independently.
