Job Description

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Manager of Grounds and Building Services and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

 

This position is responsible for a wide array of grounds maintenance duties including mowing, weed-eating, trimming/pruning, landscaping, and snow/ice removal.  The Grounds Technician must have or can obtain an operators spray license to be able to spray around campus.  This position must help in maintaining the equipment on hand, as well as help identify any equipment repairs, replacements, or needs that might arise; assist with various projects around campus such as minor construction or remodeling work, minor concrete repairs, and painting; assist custodial staff with daily responsibilities, event setups and tear downs, and office moves as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalence required, one to two years grounds keeping and maintenance experience preferred.
